Outdoor Skating Rinks Open

Time to lace up and get out to enjoy the winter

A little awkward timing, after over a week of freezing temperatures, the City of Toronto started opening their outdoor skating rinks on the weekend that mother nature decided to give us one last blast of warmer temperatures.  But the important note here is that the outdoor rinks have started opening.

This past Saturday (Nov 22, 2014), fifteen of Toronto's rinks opened for the public to get out and enjoy, including the always popular Nathan Phillips Square and Colonel Samuel Smith Park's skating trail.

These main outdoor public rinks are scheduled to stay open until March 22, 2015.  The rest of Toronto's 51 outdoor rinks will open for leisure skaters, and pickup hockey gamers on Nov 29, and stay open until Feb 22, 2015.

So grab the loved one, or a group of friends, and #GetOutAndPlay this winter.
