Key Dates:
- June 25 & 26 - OST Sports Zone (12:00 pm - 6:00 pm daily)
OST Sports Zone
After consulting with several OutSport Toronto members, this year's OST Sports Zone will be held on the opening weekend of Pride Toronto, June 25 and 26.
With the support of the Church-Wellesley Village Business Improvement Area (CWVBIA), OST is able to provide its members with a more visible location directly on Church Street during the weekend, while the street is closed to motor traffic to create a community festival.
We hope that this change of dates will provide our leagues and organizations a greater reach to local community members and LGBTQ sports & recreation participants.
This change of dates offers a great deal of savings for our members, with a pricing structure that removes barriers to participation and greater flexibility.
#Participation is the key for this weekend to be a success: the more your league or organization is able to actively participate, the lower your booth registration fee will be! As low as $20.00 for the complete weekend!
Detailed pricing information is available on our registration page at this link.
To access the lower booth registration fees, your league or organization will be required to actively participate in the activation zone, leading, at least, one 30 minute demo game highlighting your sport or activity while encouraging the general public to participate.
Even smaller leagues and organizations that might not have the capacity to staff a volunteer booth for the weekend will be able to reserve a booth for only one day, or use the shared booth if they can take care of the dunk tank for as little as 2 hours!

On a sunny afternoon in Toronto, Friday, 4 May 2012, after months of preparation, a team of seven from OUTSPORT TORONTO convened on the AllStream Centre at Exhibition Place for OUTSPORT TORONTO's workshop for the Toronto District School Board's FUTURES 2012 conference.
"I remember getting the eMail in the wake of our November 2011 Scrum from the conference organising committee inviting us to submit a proposal to present a workshop, and thinking, 'Wow... we got noticed!' ", said OUTSPORT TORONTO's chair Shawn Sheridan. "After a unanimous vote of our board to do the workshop, we struck a committee, reached out to our member organisations, friends, and supporters, and started the process of creating that workshop. I'm so proud of the team's effort and the result! Everyone was so committed and cared so much about this! And I get that. We were all in school. We all remember." Read more...
