The 2013 Scrum will be held on Friday November 22nd and Saturday November 23rd.
OUTSPORT TORONTO's 4th annual Scrum will be the biggest and best yet!
Friday evening will hold a reception and keynote speech. Past keynotes have included Kristen Worley (competitive track cyclist), Patrick Burke (You Can Play Project) and Angela James (Hockey Hall of Famer), and we are working hard to secure another excellent speaker!
On Saturday, the 519 Community Centre will host our seminars and workshops, aimed at both league organizers and athletes.
Stay tuned for more details, including our outreach to member organisations for help with developing the content.
On another note, please take a moment to check out all the great upcoming events on our calendar. We are right in the middle of Ski and Snowboard season, and the Toronto Gay Ski Club has a number of upcoming events. I am also very excited about Pride Athlete Ally Night at U of T, on Feb 15th, U of T is demonstrating great leadership with their varsity program! Last but not least is the 2nd annual Toronto Marlies LGBT game. The Marlies are a great supporter of the Toronto Gay Hockey Association and LGBT-sport. The Marlies play very entertaining hockey, and the opportunity to play shinny at Ricoh Colleseum should not be missed!
