Can you host? The Federation of Gay Games (FGG) will be holding its 2011 Annual General Assembly in Toronto from October 21 to October 27. Details of this event can be found on FGG’s website at http://www.gaygames.com/ under the tab ‘AGA 2011.’ OutSport Toronto is working with FGG to facilitate billeting and other aspects of their visit to our city and encourages members of Toronto’s LGBT community to put out the WELCOME mat.
Delegates to the assembly will be coming from around the world and some of them have expressed an interest in hosted housing. To that end, OutSport Toronto has set up a link on our website for both hosts and visitors to register (http://OutSportToronto.org/federation-gay-games-2011-annual-general-asse...). We will do our best to make a match and hopefully provide our visitors with comfortable and friendly accommodation during their stay in Toronto. We ask all our member organisations to post this information regarding being a host and the above link in their various newsletters and communications to their members.
As part of the assembly, OutSport Toronto will also be organizing a cocktail reception to be held at Woody’s on Monday, October 24th. We are hopeful that representatives of all of Toronto’s LGBT sports and recreation organizations will be in attendance to welcome FGG’s international delegates to Toronto. We will keep the community informed as details of this event are finalized.
